Preparation for aviation medical examination
For Pilots
Initial examination
Instructions include:
- Refraining from eating for 8-12 hours before the test. Drinking plain water is allowed.
- Bringing 2 of a 1×1 inch photo. Photo(s) must be taken within the last 6 months to reflect your current appearance.
- Bringing identity card/ identity document which is valid and not damaged.
- In case of a new patient, please contact registration counter after arrival at the hospital.
- Proper attire is required (appropriate shirts, slacks, belt and formal leather shoes which the soles are fully covered.
- If wearing glasses, they must be brought to the test.
- In case of undergoing eye procedures e.g. LASIK or PRK (Photorefractive Keratectomy), medical certificate for LASIK or PRK which has been issued in the last 6 months must be brought to the test with specified previous visual acuity before undergoing eye procedure.
Renewal examination
Instructions include:
- Refraining from eating for 8-12 hours before the test. Drinking plain water is allowed.
- Bringing identity card/ identity document which is valid and not damaged.
- In case of a new patient, please contact registration counter after arrival at the hospital.
- Proper attire is required (appropriate shirts, slacks, belt and formal leather shoes which cover the entire soles.
- If wearing glasses, they must be brought to the test.
- Bringing previous medical certificate (s).
- Commercial pilot license must be brought.
International Pilot / Airman Medical Certificates
- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) – USA.
- Transport Canada – Canada.
- Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) – Australia.
- Secretariat Of Civil Aviation (SSCA) – Cambodia.
For Flight Attendants
Annual check-up and pre-employment
