On April 24, 2020, the Dusit Medical Foundation, led by Associate Professor Ajima Sethabutra, the board member and secretary of the Dusit Medical Foundation, along with Doctor Paisarn Lertdeedipon, the Assistant Director of Medical Affairs at Bangkok Hospital, donated 2,000 sets of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the Chaipattana Foundation. Dr. Sumet Tantivejkul, the board member and secretary-general of the Chaipattana Foundation, received the donation to distribute to medical personnel in three southern border provinces for treating COVID-19 patients
As Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, The Princess Royal, graciously initiated the establishment of a fund by the Chaipattana Foundation to support hospitals and medical personnel by purchasing necessary equipment for treating COVID-19 patients. Currently, the medical personnel are still working hard to treat COVID-19 patients, and the situation of virus spread is still ongoing in many areas, leading to a shortage of protective gear for medical personnel. This includes Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
The Dusit Medical Foundation hence donated 2,000 sets of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including Isolation Gowns and Cover Gowns that meet the standards and are effective in preventing diseases to the Chaipattana Foundation for distribution to medical personnel or necessary units in three southern border provinces: Yala, Pattani, and Narathiwat. These are for the treatment and related operations for COVID-19 patients in order to ensure the most effective treatment possible. The Dusit Medical Foundation is committed to being a part of supporting different units to improve the situation of this epidemic, so that all Thais can return to their normal, happy lives as before.
