Removal of ingrown toenails services

  • Ingrown toenails can potentially cause infections and other serious complications. Some people might not be able to trim or cut these ingrown toenails themselves since they cannot fully reach toenails or they have an impaired vision.
  • Removal of ingrown toenails services are conducted by experienced chiropodist using special trimming approach (wedge excision) to avoid surgery or nail avulsion in which the whole nail be fully removed. Ingrown toenail removal helps to reduce the risk of diabetic foot ulcers.

Thickening skin removal services

Neuropathy or nerve damage induced by diabetes impairs sensitivity, causing abnormal loading of the foot. This results in thickened skin, also called callus formation. To remove skin thickening on the foot or sole, nail clippers are not used as they can cause skin injury. Expert chiropodist uses chiropody podiatry nippers ingrown clippers together with skin removal technique to soften and make the skin thinner, enabling a healthier skin and comfortable feet.
