Before the Procedure
- You will need to undergo an extensive pre-operative eye examination and investigation by your ophthalmologist.( This may take 2-3 hours)
- Refrain from wearing contact lenses for a period of time specified ( at least 3 days for soft contact lens and 7 days for semi-hard or hard contact lens).
- Arrange for transportation, or let the coordinators at the center assist you – it is not advisable to drive by yourself on the day of your pre-operative eye examination (due to retina exam which requires pupil dilatation can cause blurry vision for 4-5 hours).
- Tell your doctor about all past and present medical and eye conditions.
- Tell your doctor about all medications you are taking, including over-the-counter remedies, and any medications you may be allergic to
